How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2005 Chevrolet Express 2500?

To replace the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor, lift the vehicle and disconnect the CKP sensor harness connector. Remove the CKP sensor mounting bolt and then remove the CKP sensor. Upon installing the new CKP sensor, double check to make sure that it is seated, and then secure it to the mounting bolt without causing erratic performance and sporadic DTC. Replace the O-ring of the CKP sensor with a new one, lubricate it with engine oil next to it, and insert the CKP sensor, ensuring the mounting surface is free of burrs and clean. Mount the CKP sensor mounting bolt and secure it to 8 N.m (71 lb in). Lastly, hook the CKP sensor harness connector, lower the vehicle and carry out CKP system variation learn.
