Use the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712) to detach the engine oil pressure gauge switch while tracking the fitting position before removal. The installation requires switch fitting removal if needed. The fitting installation requires 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.) torque using a one-turn rule to achieve proper fitting alignment when switch installation occurs after removal of the fitting. Tighten the engine oil pressure gauge switch to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) using the Oil Pressure Switch Socket (J 41712) but keep the fitting stable with a wrench to avoid rotation. Plug both ends on the engine oil pressure gauge switch electrical connector before returning the engine cover into place.
