How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Intake Manifold removal is the first step before you can replace the engine oil pressure sensor or switch. The engineer should remove the engine harness electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor. With j 41712 (Oil Pressure Switch Socket) tool you should remove the oil pressure sensor (706) and washer (707). Extremely thick gasket material should be applied to the threads of the upcoming oil pressure sensor. The j 41712 (Oil Pressure Switch Socket) allows you to install oil pressure sensor (706) along with washer (707). When installing the sensor use 35 nm (26 lb ft) torque setting. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor before torquing it to 35 nm (26 lb ft). Finally, reinstall the Intake Manifold.
