2006 Buick Terraza Brake Light Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2006 Buick Terraza?
A: Begin replacement of the brake pedal position sensor by removing the instrument panel insulator. Without removing the connector, push the position assurance hook aside then disconnect the wiring connection. Take out the brake pedal position sensor by unscrewing its fixture first. Use GM approved part 12345493 adhesive to stick the screw while placing the sensor fork on the pin and rotating the sensor until the locator hits the extension bracket hole. Tighten the brake pedal position sensor screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in) while positioning it correctly. Plug the electrical connection into the port while aligning the CPA accessory with its designated contact point. Complete the sensor adjustment then replace the I/P insulator.
