2006 Buick Terraza Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the instrument panel Fuse Box on 2006 Buick Terraza?
A: The replacement process of instrument panel electrical center or junction block begins with negative Battery Cable disconnection. When changing the instrument panel electrical center or junction block start by removing both the instrument panel right side endcap cover and the i/p compartment. Rephrase the i/p accessory wiring junction block assembly first by unscrewing the forward-facing screws on the i/p carrier. Then unscrew the 2 nuts that keep the assembly bracket to the i/p carrier. Move the i/p electrical center bracket down until the junction block can enter the stowage compartment. The procedure starts with disconnecting the electrical connector from the i/p wiring harness by engaging the retaining tabs on the shroud/base assembly, followed by walking off the i/p accessory wiring junction block assembly from the connector while ensuring the main harness fits in the lower shroud/base location. The process of installing the new i/p wiring harness junction block requires the connectors to be placed into their designated positions within the lower i/p accessory wiring junction block assembly base/shroud. To install properly secure harness connectors to retention tabs before placing the connector into the i/p wiring harness junction block while carefully pressing the connector into the base until both outer locking tabs become locked. Install the bracket of the i/p harness junction block onto the i/p carrier bracket studs followed by nut installation at 10 n.m (89 lb in). Install the i/p right side end cap cover as you tighten 2 screws at the i/p endcap to 2 n.m (18 lb in). Complete the procedure by attaching the negative Battery Cable before going through the power sliding door re-initialization steps.
