How to replace the front door striker on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

Begin striker replacement by looking at the striker position after you remove all screws from the striker. First uninstall all screws holding the door striker and afterwards remove the striker. Set the striker onto its installation location where the narrow side faces outward from the lock pillar then secure the striker screws into place. Use the lock striker adjustment procedure to position the door striker after which tighten the screws to 27.5 N.m (20 lb ft). It is necessary to follow the service precautions mentioned in the fastener notice throughout this installation process.
