How to replace the rear Door Latch Assembly on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

The procedure to change the rear door latch begins with removing the door trim panel alongside the door module and inside Door Handle and water deflector. Approach the door latch and open its clip to detach the outside Door Handle rod while pushing the inside lock rod grommet through its opening after removing the rod guide from the inside handle rod. Starting by removing the door latch screws, pull out the door latch while it maintains its inside Door Handle rod and lock rod connection. Unte the electrical connector before removing both rod connections from the latch. Install the door latch by connecting the inside Door Handle rod and lock rod to the door latch before properly attaching the electrical connector. Both the door latch screws must be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Attach the outside Door Handle rod to the door latch through rod insertion into a clip and clip closure. First check the outside Door Handle operation before installing the inside handle rod to the rod guide followed by water deflector and inside Door Handle and door module before attaching the door trim panel.
