How to replace the front Door Latch Assembly on 2005 Cadillac SRX?

In order to change the front door latch, elevate the window, eliminate the door trim panel and the water deflector. Unscrew lock cylinder rod and outside door handle rod. Take off the door latch screws and the latch. Before replacing the trim panel, reattach rods, install latch and make sure all works properly.
