How to replace the rear fog light bulb on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

The first step to change the rear fog lamp bulb is to take the lift gate applique off. Exercise caution regarding halogen bulbs. The fog lamp bulb socket needs to be detached from the applique assembly by turning it counterclockwise followed by pulling it out. Remove the fog lamp bulb from its installed position in the socket. Install the new fog lamp bulb by placing it into the socket with proper care of halogen bulbs due to their sensitivity. From this point push and turn the fog lamp bulb socket into the applique assembly clockwise. The lift gate applique can be reinstalled after connecting the electrical components.
