How to replace the fan clutch on 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?

Removal of the upper fan shroud is required to replace the fan clutch. Install the Fan Clutch Wrench and Fan Clutch Remover and Installer on the fan clutch. Take out the fan hub nut and place the fan blade flat and remove the fan clutch. Reassemble, and fit the fan clutch and tighten the bolts. Lastly, re-fit the top fan shroud.
