Replace the maf/iat sensor while showing caution not to damage the air inlet end of the honeycell and keep all cleaning solvents and lubricants off the sensing elements because small amounts of non-silicone lubricant applied to the air duct help with installation. Start the repair by taking off the intake air resonator followed by disconnecting the Mass Air Flow Sensor electrical connector and unaffecting the Mass Air Flow Sensor clamp before extracting the sensor from the air cleaner assembly. To install the new Mass Air Flow Sensor put its embossed arrow toward the engine direction first after which you should mount it onto the air cleaner assembly followed by clamp tightening to 7 n.m (62 lb in) and connector reconnection to finalize with the air intake resonator replacement.
