  A: Before starting the Starter motor replacement you must first disconnect the negative Battery Cable while following proper battery disconnect procedures. First remove all mounting bolts from the Starter assembly including those from the upper and lower components. Then disconnect the electrical cable by removing the solenoid nuts. Finish the procedure by taking out the Starter assembly. During installation position the Starter assembly then thread the upper and lower Starter mounting bolts with a torque tightening force of 43 n.m (32 lb ft). Affix the Starter electrical wire to the solenoid terminal before installing the Starter solenoid nuts with torques set at 15 n.m (11 lb ft). After completing installation reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
