  A: To replace the generator, first, remove the negative Battery Cable and while doing so, take note of battery disconnect precautions. Next, unplug the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electric connector from the air intake tube and then remove the breather tube clamp and all the other clamps to remove the air intake tube. Remove the nut from the generator battery harness connector, followed by the bolt from the generator shackle bracket. From the vehicles with power steering and air conditioning, care must be measured by removing the serpentine accessory Drive Belt off before extracting the nuts that hold the generator lower bracket-to-generator bolts before taking the generator itself. For installation, fix the generator at the lower bracket and feed the generator bolts with nuts and washers, tightening with the tightness of 25 n.m (18 lb ft).
