  A: Begin generator replacement by removing the negative Battery Cable and iat sensor electrical connector of the air intake tube. Begin by taking off the generator's battery harness connector nut followed by removing all clamp devices to detach the air intake tube from the breather tube clamp. Before continuing with the generator replacement you must first remove the generator shackle bracket bolt and the serpentine accessory Drive Belt just like during power steering pump belt replacement procedures. The generator requires removal after snapping off the nuts which secure it to the generator bolts followed by removing the generator piece with caution. To install the generator position it at the lower bracket and insert generator bolts then install nut and washers on generator lower bracket-to-generator bolts before tightening to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Start by installing generator and lower support bracket assembly bolts onto the engine block before using a bolt to connect generator to shackle bracket while torquing bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft).
