Begin by lifting the hood before identifying the hood latch position with a grease pencil on the support bracket. First disconnect the hood latch bolts and extract the hood latch from the vehicle through cable retainer pressure until the release cable detaches from the hood latch. Install the hood latch by connecting the release cable to its position according to the bracket alignment marks. The installer should position the hood latch in its full up position before installing and torquing down the bolts to their designated specifications. After lowering the hood press it gently against the fenders until even then lift it back up before tightening bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in). The adjustment process for the hood should be performed next then you must close the hood finally.
