In order to change the hvac control assembly, you need to take off the accessory trim plate and the screws (7,2) which fix the hvac control assembly to the instrument panel. Then, you will want to disconnect the mode cable, temperature cable, and the electrical connectors from the hvac control assembly before removing the assembly. At installation, mount the hvac control assembly and reconnect the electrical connectors while the mode and temperature cables should not be bent. Next, connect the mode cable and temperature cable to the hvac control assembly, then fasten it to the instrument panel when the screws are tightened to 1.9 n.m (18 lb in). Finally install the accessory trim plate.
