How to replace the Body Control Module (BCM) on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?

Turn off the ignition and take out the radio bezel before proceeding with bcm replacement. Pull the bcm tabs away from their locking points under the restraint to free the bcm electrical harnesses. This allows you to remove the bcm from its instrument panel retainer. Reposition the bcm inside its socket then put back the radio bezel. Align the bcm tabs into the slots on the instrument panel retainer until they click into place. Join all electrical wires together and test a new or restored bcm system through the Body Control Module programming platform.
