How to replace the multifunction turn signal switch on 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Disabling the SIR system must occur before starting this task as per the SIR Caution in Service Precautions. Take out the panel trims before tilting the column to its center position. You can uninstall the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly by disengaging its connectors and removing it from its position while taking out two pan head tapping screws. Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly by carefully placing it while the electrical contact points to the turn signal cancel cam assembly to secure it with the provided 2 pan head tapping screws. Secure the top screw at 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.) and the side screw at 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.) as per the specified Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Plug the connectors back to the turn signal and multifunction switch part followed by securing the upper and lower trim covers. Complete the work by enabling the SIR system.
