How to replace the input transfer case seal on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

One must extract the Transfer Case before attempting to change the input shaft seal. Insert the hook end of the seal remover (J 45278) next to the seal lip and shaft before turning the hook to 60 degrees and extracting the seal through the slide hammer w/adapter (J-2619-A). Remove the old seal materials from the input shaft area and seal installation region using an appropriate solvent. Drive in the new input seal using the driver handle (J 8092) together with the input seal installer (J 46269). Finally, reinstall the Transfer Case.
