How to Service and Repair the CV Joint Boot on 2007 Chevrolet Aveo?

To service and repair the constant velocity joint boot, start by ejecting the drive axle of the vehicle. Then use the seal clamp pliers (J 35566) to remove the big seal retaining clamp and discard it off and also remove the small seal retaining clamp using the same tool and discard off. Seperate the joint housing and the boot and degrease the tripot assembly. Next, using the snap ring pliers(J 8059) remove the shaft retaining ring followed by the removal of the tripot, tripot joint retaining ring from the Axle Shaft with the tripot joint seal. For installation, mount on a new small seal retaining clamp on seal and mount the seal on the Axle Shaft. Install the shaft retaining ring on the shaft axle with the help of snap ring pliers (J 8059). Fill the tripot housing with 195-215g (6.9-7.6ouncements) of the recommended grease and repack the tripot with the same amount. Boot it to the joint housing, add a new large seal retaining clamp and crimp it with the seal clamp pliers (J 35566) and the new small seal retaining clamp and crimp it with the same tool. Finally, replace the drive axle put it back into the vehicle.
