How to service and repair the CV Boot and CV Joint on 2008 Chevrolet Aveo?

To service and repair the constant velocity joint boot, start by the removal and disposal of the large seal retaining clamp and discarding the small seal retaining clamp. You will have to degrease the joint before you can remove the shaft retaining ring using the snap ring pliers (J 8059). Carefully remove the Axle Shaft from the joint assembly, with mannerism that ball retainer is stacked in poses and not serviceable as attempting to service it may result to a reduced performance of the vehicle as well as personal injury happened. Secondly, take off the sleeve from the joint assembly. For installation, insert a new small seal retaining clamp to the seal without crimping it, put the seal onto the Axle Shaft and the joint assembly over the Axle Shaft. Replace the shaft retaining ring with the help of snap ring pliers (J 8059), and fill the joint assembly with 120-140 grams (4.2-4.9 ounces) of specified grease, packing the tripot again with the same proportion of grease. Finally, replace the new large seal retaining clamp and crimping it with the help of the seal clamp pliers (J 35566) and similarly crimp the new small retaining clamp using the seal clamp pliers (J 35566).
