How to replace the door lock actuator on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?

The first step to replace the Door Inside Manual Release Actuator begins with moving the seat to its rear position before removing both trim plugs from the fastener sockets of the floor-mounted door release. The assistance required to access the rear fastener of the door release comes from removing the pushpin from the front seat riser cover that leans forward due to its position near the floor mounted door release. Uninstall both door release fasteners in addition to the fasteners on the back of the door release actuator. Disassemble the two release halves from the housing and completely remove the cable sheath from its position inside the actuator housing for future installation reference. Swing the door release backward while you move the cable into position between the actuator halves and remove the cable end from hooking onto the latch actuating lever. To install the assembly properly position the door release actuator backward so you can attach its cable end to the actuating lever then place the assembly forward between actuator halves with cable sheath end in molded fingers of the housing. Place the cable sheath inside the actuator housing before uniting the actuator halves then fasten the screws to the opposite side of the door release actuator until tight enough at 2 N.m (18 lb in). Position the door release actuator onto the door sill before installing its fasteners through the door release while tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Both fastener trim plugs should be directed into the door release actuator before securing the pushpin into the hole in the riser through the seat riser cover.
