How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on 2007 Chevrolet Express 2500?

In order to change the ignition lock cylinder, you have to disconnect the negative cable of the battery and shut down the SIR system. Take off the steering column trim covers, insert the ignition lock cylinder to the start position and hold the retaining pin. Insert the lock cylinder and close the trim covers and reconnect the battery.
