How to replace the engine crossover coolant pipe (LZE/LZ4/LZ8) on 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Begin the engine coolant crossover pipe (LZE/LZ4/LZ8) replacement task by first disassembling the intake manifold cover, generator, drive belt idler pulleys, and Power Steering Pump. Move the clamp on the coolant recovery reservoir hose at its fill tube fitting then remove the hose while setting it aside. First remove the radiator inlet hose from the crossover pipe after relocating its clamp at the pipe and then remove the thermal bypass hose from same crossover pipe after relocating its clamp. Remove first the coolant crossover pipe bolts before removing the crossover pipe. Screw the coolant crossover pipe into place between the cylinder heads and tighten its bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Begin the installation by reattaching the thermal bypass hose with its clamp followed immediately by connecting the radiator inlet hose with its clamp. Start with Power Steering Pump then drive belt idler pulleys and generator before finally reinstalling intake manifold cover.
