How to replace the thermostat on 2007 GMC Canyon?

In order to change the thermostat, drain the cooling system and lift up the vehicle. Take off the left wheelhouse liner and loosen the radiator inlet hose. Unscrew the bolts in the thermostat housing, wash the surfaces and bolt the housing back. Unhook hose, reassembled liner, lowered the vehicle, refilled cooling system and leak-checking.
