How to replace the Turn Signal Switch on 2007 GMC Envoy?

Before working on the Turn Signal Switch you need to shut down the sir system. Lower both trim covers to expose the Steering Column parts while positioning the column at its center point. Disassemble the turn signal and switch parts then remove the 2 pan head taps that keep the assembly in place. During installation place the electrical contact of the switch assembly over the turn signal cancel cam assembly and fasten both parts together through 2 pan head tapping screws. Use 3 n.m (27 lb in) pressure to tighten the top screw while the side screw requires 7 n.m (62 lb in). Attach the connectors back to the turn signal and switch assembly then place upper and lower trim covers in place before enabling sir.
