2008 Buick Lucerne Brake Light Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Brake Light Switch on the 4T80-E Automatic Transaxle on 2008 Buick Lucerne?
A: It is necessary to start the 4t80-e automatic transaxle torque converter clutch/cruise control release switch replacement by first removing the left side closeout/insulator panel. A counter-clockwise rotation of the upper switch enables separation and disconnect of its electrical connector. Installation of the new switch requires the Brake Pedal to be in either full up position or rest position. The installation of upper switch begins with electrical connector attachment before placing the upper switch inside the upper retainer for clockwise rotation until complete insertion. After adjustment complete the left closeout/insulator panel installation steps.
