The first step for torque converter clutch/cruise control release switch replacement consists of removing the left closeout/insulator panel. The upper switch disconnects by counterclockwise turning before you can disconnect its electrical connector. Integration of Brake Pedal switches requires that the Brake Pedal occupies its uppermost or resting position. Fasten the upper switch electrical connector before placing the upper switch into the upper retainer and completely twisting it clockwise. The brake cruise control system may malfunction if the switch is not adjusted before a brake booster pushrod gets connected to the Brake Pedal assembly. Fitting the left closeout/insulator panel marks the last step of reinstallation.
