How to replace the front door striker on 2008 Cadillac SRX?

Before you start replace the front door striker you need to determine its location by removing screws. First uninstall the screws from the door striker before extracting the striker itself. Female pieces of the striker should face outward during installation before securing its screws. Adjust the door striker along the lines of the Door Lock Striker Adjustment. All fasteners should achieve proper security by tightening the striker screws to 27.5 N.m (20 lb ft).
