The rear side door latch replacement procedure starts by removing the door trim panel and following it with inside Door Handle removal along with water deflector removal. The first step involves opening the clip which releases the outside Door Handle rod from the door latch followed by pushing the inside lock rod grommet through its path after removing the rod guide from the inside handle rod. First disconnect the electrical connector to the door latch and take out the door latch with its attached inside Door Handle rod and lock rod before removing door latch screws. The installation of the door latch starts by connecting the inside Door Handle rod with the lock rod to the door latch before connecting the electrical connector and installing the door latch into the door while tightening the door latch screws up to 10 n.m (89 lb in). To attach the outside Door Handle rod with the door latch you need to slide the rod through its connecting clip while finishing the alignment.
