You should start the rear side door latch replacement by removing the door trim panel along with the inside Door Handle and water deflector. To start the process detach the outside Door Handle rod from the door latch by unclipping the door latch while continuing with removing the inside handle rod from its rod guide and pushing the inside lock rod grommet through the opening. The operation of replacing the rear side door latch consists of first removing the door latch screws then extracting the door latch alongside its inside Door Handle rod and lock rod combination before finally disconnecting the electrical connector to finish by taking off the handle rod and lock rod from the door latch. Following installation procedures begins with mounting the inside Door Handle rod and lock rod onto the door latch after connecting the electrical connector and installing the door latch into its slot in the door. Finish the installation by tightening the door latch screws to 10 nm (89 lb in). Attach the outside Door Handle rod to the door latch when you place the rod inside the clip and shut the mechanism. First inspect the outside Door Handle before proceeding to install the inside handle rod on the rod guide and afterward add the water deflector and inside Door Handle then finish with the door trim panel installation.
