Access to the check becomes possible by moving the water deflector's forward portion from the door panel strip. First remove the check from both the door to body bolt connection and door nuts before pulling the link from the door opening. Place the check within the door and ensure proper installation of check nuts before torquing them to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Fit the check arm into the front body hinge pillar bolt before securing it to 9 N.m (80 lb in) torque value. You should complete the installation by putting back the water deflector followed by the door trim panel.
