2008 Cadillac SRX Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Radiator Grille Emblem on 2008 Cadillac SRX?
A: Apply a Heat Gun (J 25070) at 152mm (6 inches) from the emblem surface to loosen the Radiator Grille Emblem. Use a Heat Gun to heat the emblem in circles until you can pull it out from the grille. Take off the loose wreath or crest. Remove all remaining old adhesive from the emblem area by scraping with a plastic flat-bladed tool then cleanse the surface using 3M(R) P/N 07501. Apply a soft cloth dipped in warm soapy water to the surface and let it dry using a lint-free tool. Clean the surface area with a dry lint-free cloth followed by wiping it with half alcohol and half water solution on a separate clean cloth. Keep your hands away from the tape surface while preventing it from contact with dirt. Apply the emblem to the grille by pressing it securely for 30 seconds while matching both the grille holes with the clips of the backside on the adhesive tape.
