2008 Chevrolet Express 3500 Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Transmission Oil Cooler on a 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E automatic transmission on 2008 Chevrolet Express 3500?
A: The first thing to do to change the auxiliary cooler for the transmission fluid on a 4l60-e/4l65-e/4l70-e automatic transmission is to take off the grille assembly. Set a drain pan beneath the vehicle, cut the Transmission Oil Cooler lines from the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler, and after that, take the Oil Cooler lines off. After that, take off the 4 bolts attaching the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler to the radiator support and pull the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler out. When you're installing the Transmission Oil Cooler, use the 4 bolts and tighten them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Attach the Oil Cooler lines back to the auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler and make sure they are tightened to 23 n.m (17 lb ft). Afterwards, take out the drain pan and return the grille assembly to its position.
