How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 1 on 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

The vehicle needs to rise and receive support before beginning the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for bank 2 sensor 1 replacement. The first step includes unscrewing the ho2s from the Catalytic Converter before removing the connector position assurance retainer and disconnecting the ho2s electrical connection . Connect the ho2s electrical connector first then mount the cpa retainer system. Using the special ho2s anti-seize compound is essential for threading operations because this compound contains liquid graphite combined with glass beads; all new and service-replacement sensors arrive with pre-applied anti-seize compound. Old sensors need application of anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 or another equivalent compound on their threads during reinstall. When installing the sensor which connects to the main wiring harness you should first turn it counterclockwise several times before inserting it into the Catalytic Converter to stop pigtail wire twisting or binding. Proceed by installing the ho2s and tighten it to 42 n.m (31 lb ft) and lower the vehicle afterwards.
