How to replace the Primary Timing Chain Tensioner on 2008 GMC Acadia?

The first step for replacing the Timing Chain tensioner requires removing the spark plugs to allow Crankshaft rotation. You must remove the engine front cover following the primary task. Stage 2 alignment marks for the camshaft timing system should be placed on Timing Chain and sprockets whenever stage 2 alignment is not used for complete camshaft timing system installation. Remove the tensioner of the Timing Chain from its place. First install the new Timing Chain tensioner then reinstall all spark plugs followed by setting the engine front cover in its proper position.
