• Q: How to replace the Washer Reservoir and pump on 2009 Chevrolet Aveo?

  A: Start your work to replace the windshield washer solvent container and pump by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Uninstall the front wheel on the left side and release all bolts that hold the front wheel well splash shield in place. Carry out these steps to disconnect washer hoses from their ports on the reservoir and power module. Twist off bolts and nuts to extract the reservoir. When installing the reservoir place its bolts and nuts then fasten them until they reach 9 nm torque. Reconnect both electrical wires on the pump and attach the washer hoses back to their proper locations. Install the front wheel well splash shield while tightening its bolts to 1.5 nm force (13 pound inches) then place the front left wheel back in position. After the job is completed reconnect the negative battery terminal.
