  A: Initial steps before installing a new Fuel Rail assembly start with releasing fuel system pressure through suitable method. You need to detach the air cleaner outlet duct during your next step. You should disconnect the fuel line quick connect fitting from the rail assembly before capping fuel feed lines and Fuel Rail to stop unwanted contamination. The engine harness electrical connector should be removed from the Fuel Injector harness and its connector clip taken off the Intake Manifold. Remove the electrical connector from the MAP Sensor on the engine harness. Unscrew the Fuel Rail bolts while monitoring the Fuel Injector electrical connector terminals and spray tips then slide the Fuel Rail backward and upward to extract the fuel injectors from the cylinder head ports so you can remove the Fuel Rail. The process requires Fuel Injector removal when required while new lower o-rings need installation for reused injectors followed by lubricating the injector tip o-rings before reinstalling. Insert each Fuel Injector downward through the cylinder head ports before carefully pushing it into position. Then install Fuel Rail bolts which must be tightened to 10 nm (89 lb in).
