Before separating the spring from the compressor you need to remove the Shock Absorber/spring assembly and document which way the mounting plate faces in relation to the spring. The spring compressor process begins by taking out the spring along with its mounting plate. When mounting the spring begin by placing the mounting plate on the spring but make sure to maintain the proper orientation of both parts afterward use any upper mounting stud's center line to align with the lower shock mount center line. Put the mounting plate together with the spring onto the spring compressor before placing the Shock Absorber/spring assembly. Finally, lower the vehicle.
