How to replace the exhaust muffler on LLV or LLR engines (2.9L, 3.7L) on 2009 Chevrolet Colorado?

Raise vehicle, support without overextending rear brake hose. Remove lower shock and right rear leaf spring fasteners, wedge wood between frame and axle, avoid flex-joint damage. Unbolt muffler from catalytic converter, use soapy solution on hangers, slide/rotate muffler out. Reverse to install, secure flange nuts, reassemble and inspect before lowering.
