However, next, you loosen the side trim panel retainers, hush panel from the instrument panel, and the knee bolster off the instrument panel. Make sure to have the end of the wire or string of the hood latch release cable handle bolt to stay within the passenger compartment then remove the hood latch cable release cable handle bolts. Tie the wire or string at the end of the hood release cable to help with the installation of the new cable. Using a small flat-bladed tool, then take off the grommet and move it from the engine compartment into the passenger compartment.
