First support the vehicle when installing the back up lamp switch of a tremec 5-speed (TZ0) manual transmission. Detach the back up lamp switch electrical connector before extracting the back up lamp switch. When installing the new back up lamp switch, note that it has pre-applied thread sealant on the threads; apply 37 nm (27 lb ft) torque when fastening the switch. Complete the procedure by reconnecting the back up lamp switch electrical connector then lowering the vehicle.
