To replace rear side door upper hinge and lower hinge, start by marking the area of the hinge with a soft marker to help in installation alignment. To avoid SIR deployment, personal injury, unnecessary SIR system repairs do not strike the door or door pillar in the side impact sensor (SIS) siti area; make sure to turn OFF ignition and remove the key if replacing the propshaft in an area near the SIS. Support the door, then with the door fully latched on the striker, uninstall the hinge to door bolts then the hinge to body bolt, making sure to remove the hinges one at a time. For installation, put the hinge on the vehicle according to the marks that were drawn before uninstallation. Mount the hinge to door bolts and tighten it to 25 Nm (18 lb ft), then mount the hinge to body bolts and tighten it to 25 Nm (18 lb ft). Finally, check on the alignment of the door.
