How to replace the front seat cushion pad and cover on 2010 Cadillac SRX?

Perform the replacement process by removing the front seat while also extracting the front seat adjuster if present and uninstalling the front seat outer adjuster finish cover combined with the front seat inner recliner finish cover. Proceed by taking out the rear retainers from the seat cushion cover while detaching these components from the seat frame before disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the duct from the vent fan if present. The complete seat cushion frame assembly consists of removing its pad and cover before you detach the hog rings holding the cover to its underside. Pulling the cover away from the pad completes the seam removal. A new inflatable restraint passenger presence system should be installed together with the front passenger seat cushion during replacement. The vertical listing wires need to be partly extracted from the trim cover before installing the cover onto the pad. After that, attach the cover to the pad using hog rings in positions 1 through 3 before bringing the list wires forward and adding more rings in positions 4 through 9. The technician must assemble the seat cushion cover and pad to the frame then reinstall the duct from the fan vent if present and the electrical connector if present. First install the J-channel retainers to the seat frame then add the rear retainers on the seat cushion cover to the seat frame. To complete the task install the front seat inner recliner finish cover followed by the front seat outer adjuster finish cover before adding the front seat adjuster if equipped and reinstall the front seat. A preload test of the inflatable restraint passenger presence system must be performed whenever technicians work on the seat cushion or any component part of the passenger presence system.
