  • Q: How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve on 2010 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The first step in replacing the air conditioning Evaporator thermal expansion valve requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable and collecting the refrigerant from the system. Begin by removing the cowl-mounted liquid Evaporator pipe connector block retaining nut followed by the completion of expansion valve connector block retaining bolt tasks that result in the removal of the expansion valve and o-rings disposal. Begin by cleaning all o-ring contact surfaces before putting new Evaporator tubes o-rings in place and mounting a brand-new expansion valve on the Evaporator tubes. Secure the expansion valve retaining bolts by tightening them to 12 nm (106 lb in). You must install the liquid Evaporator pipe connecting block retaining nut at the cowl before tightening it to 15 nm (11 lb ft). After completion of the procedure users should reconnect the negative Battery Cable then evacuate and recharge the system.
