Wiggle and pull the strut mount upward to release the manifold nut from the strut extension; it should start coming off. Pull the strut mount upwards until the coil spring is fully compressed; then proceed to pull the lower strutorarily down and remove the strut mount from the extension. For assembly, insert the spring in the j-45400- compressor ensuring that it is in the proper hook seating, and again compress the spring. Place the spring on the spring seat, line the match marks and mount the spring onto the strut. Next, install the storage stop, strut cartridge upper cover, spring upper seat, strut mount bearing, and strut mount. Scarce the threaded piston rod with a wrench and install the piston rod nut with the j-44626 - socket while tightening to 60 nm (44 lb ft).
