How to replace the Hood Cable for the Primary Latch Release on 2010 Chevrolet Aveo?

In order to replace the Hood Cable one should start by pulling out the hood release handle in order to access the screws, then remove the screws and release handle from the instrument panel. Caution should be exercised in terms of vehicle lifting and jacking. Next, lift, and suitably support vehicle, and remove the front wheel. Then, take out the screws and the splash shield, then open the hood. Proceed to remove the screws and the hood secondary latch and remove the cable from the hood release handle and from inside the vehicle. For installation begin with putting the cable, from the inside of the vehicle to the hood release handle. Care should be exercised when using fasteners so as not to damage the vehicle. Install screws and hood secondary latch and tighten to 8n m (71 lb in) followed by splash shield with screws of 1.5 nm (13 lb in). Reinstall the front wheel, lower the vehicle, and lastly, install the hood release on the instrument panel with screws fixed at 1.5 nm (13 lb in).
