2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Clutch Slave Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Clutch Slave Cylinder on 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt?
A: Start clutch actuator cylinder replacement by disconnecting the clutch actuator cylinder line followed by removing the transmission from the vehicle. The next step requires removing the bolts from the clutch actuator cylinder and then removing the transmission's upper bolt and finally the clutch actuator cylinder itself. Before assembly add a lubricant to the inside bearing diameter with saturn p/n 21005995 equivalent and then secure the clutch actuator cylinder onto the transmission. Install clutch actuator cylinder bolts first before tightening them to 10 nm (89 lb in) then follow with upper line release bolt tightening to 10 nm (89 lb in). Put the transmission back in place before hooking up the clutch actuator cylinder line. The hydraulic system needs a bleeding procedure to finish the installation.
