  • Q: How to replace the clutch pilot bearing on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The task starts with using the j 23907 - adapter and j 23907-1 - hammer and shaft to eliminate the old bearing through bearing insertion on the adapter legs and shaft rotation until the i.d. Surface becomes tight. After attaching the hammer and shaft to the adapter they should be used to remove the bearing from the Crankshaft rear then discard the old bearing and remove the adapter and hammer. Place the new bearing behind the Crankshaft rear while using the j 8433 - puller and j 45949 - installer with bolts that must be tightened until they are snug. Use the bolt on the puller to rotate it until the bearing achieves total seating in the Crankshaft bore. Afterwards remove the tools for new clutch Pilot Bearing examination.
