First disconnect the back up lamp switch electrical connector before removing the back up lamp switch. During new back up lamp switch installation you must see the pre-applied thread sealant already on its threads; apply 37 nm (27 lb ft) torque when securing the switch. Install the back up lamp switch electrical connector after you lower the vehicle.
